great american heroes

After exploring the many Smithsonian museums located in the National Mall, my family and I decided to start visiting the different memorials. So far, we have visited the World War II, Korean War, and Lincoln Memorials; my favorite was Lincoln. This is probably because of the phrase that was etched into the wall behind the enormous statue of Lincoln. It read:

IN THIS TEMPLE

AS IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE

FOR WHOM HE SAVED THE UNION

THE MEMORY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN

IS ENSHRINED FOREVER

I want a temple like this dedicated to me. I want to be in the hearts of the people whose lives I have touched. I want the memory of Rudraksh Saxena to be enshrined forever. Luckily for me, one of my good friends, who will be attending Johns Hopkins University this fall, wrote a post about me on his blog. It feels good knowing that at least one person misses the personality that I am; I'm glad he wrote about how he feels because most of the other people I know won't.
